Resistance is futile.

Legendary French electronic duo Daft Punk have been blowing minds in the underground electronic and worldwide pop music scenes since 1997.

The first single from their forthcoming full-length “Get Lucky” features Pharrell Williams and it just broke the listening record on Spotify.

Random Access Memories is Daft Punk’s 4th studio full-length.

The record drops on May 21st and features veteran funk guitarist Nile Rodgers from Chic. Also on board are famous electronic producers/artists Giorgio Moroder, Panda Bear and Todd Edwards.

Daft Punk lay it down in the new video with a disco loop, a soul singer and their world-famous robot suits.

Legendary French electronic duo Daft Punk took their name from a bad review of their first single.

The critic labeled the track “daft punk” and the band immediately took the insult as a new name.

Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel met in Paris in 1987, hit it off musically and put out the single as Darlin in 1992.

Influenced by house, funk, disco and German electronic pioneers Kraftwerk, Daft Punk produced “Homework” in 1997.

Still hailed as an electronic masterpiece, it made waves within world pop music culture, despite the fact that the sound was heavily electronic.

Club anthems like “Around the World” took rave music to the top of the pop charts in the U.S., the U.K. and beyond.
