David Bowie turned 66 yesterday and released an unexpected new song “Where Are We Now.” The single from his first studio album since Reality in 2003.
It’s a slow-soaring time-traveling ship of a song. In the video Bowie’s creates a visual world with new perspective, a strange cut-out kind of distance.
Even though the theme of the song is about feeling lost, Bowie’s style remains dramatic and personal, brave and exploratory.
The full album from Bowie The Next Day is coming out in March. Pre-order it at DavidBowie.com.
